How Spades Audio handles your data
Last updated March 1, 2026
Information We Collect
Spades Audio is designed with privacy in mind. The app runs entirely on your Mac and does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on external servers. Audio routing and volume settings are processed locally using Core Audio.
You can export your presets and settings as a JSON file for backup or transfer between Macs. Exported files are stored locally — we do not have access to this data.
How We Use Information
We do not sell, share, or monetise your data. Any information collected through the App Store (such as crash reports or analytics) is handled by Apple in accordance with their privacy policy. We may use aggregated, anonymised crash data to improve the app.
Cookies
This website may use cookies to understand how visitors use the site. You can disable cookies in your browser settings at any time. The Spades Audio app itself does not use cookies or web tracking.
Data Retention
All app settings are stored locally on your Mac. We do not retain any user data on our servers. Uninstalling the app removes all local data. Exported profile backups (JSON files) are stored wherever you choose to save them.
Third-Party Services
Spades Audio is distributed as a signed and notarised installer from our website. Purchases and licensing are handled through Polar.sh. We do not use third-party analytics SDKs or advertising frameworks in the app.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of Spades Audio after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
